WHERE THE GLORY OF GOD APPEARS

Exodus 25:18-22 And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover. There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites. NIV

When God had Moses fashion the Temple, He instructed that a golden covered chest called, “The Ark of the Covenant”, be placed in the holiest place. On the Ark, were two angelic type creatures called cherubim, who stood on either side, with wings spread forward until the tips touched each other. It was here that the manifest presence and glory of God would appear. Though the cherubim stood on opposite sides, with different positions that divided them, and specific vantage points, it was where they touched that God’s presence came. Too often, as couples, friends, families and church members, we focus on our differences. But our strength is not in where we stand. Our strength is found where we come together, connect and agree. And it is there that God’s glory and presence abides.

Matthew 18:19- 20 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. KJV
