GOD SPEAKS THROUGH HIS WORD
Psalm 119:24 (NIV) Your statues are my delight; they are my counselors. Psalm 119:133 (NKJ) Direct my steps by You Word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.
The Bible doesn’t CONTAIN the Word of God….it IS the WORD OF GOD. Everything in it has come to pass, or is about to. You can trust it in every detail of your life! Remember that the first place God will speak direction to you will be from His written Word. When the Devil tempted Jesus suggesting an alternate direction for Jesus life, Jesus responded three times by saying:
Matthew 4:4 “It is written….”
Matthew 4:7 “It is written…”
Matthew 4:10 “It is written…”
God has already given specific guidance and direction for marriage and family, finances, life disciplines, personal character and more in the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16 (TM) Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.
