MIRACLE WITH MUD

John 9:6 (NLT) Then He spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyes. A man who was begging by the side of the road had been born blind. In other words, while in his mother’s womb, something went terribly wrong. His eyes did not develop properly. Some scholars say he didn’t even have eyes! Where there was supposed to be light and life, there was a great void. So Jesus actually performed a “creative miracle”. That means, He formed new eyes for this man! How did He do it? He put His Holy hand in the mud….again. For this is NOT the first time we see God creating by shaping mud! Genesis 2:7 GOD formed Man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. The Man came alive—a living soul! On that day, the blind man came into contact, not with a teacher, a revolutionary, or just a good man – he came in contact with the Creator in person, and that is Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:1-2 (NLT) In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Is there a place in your life that is formless, void, functionless, chaotic or deformed? Perhaps there are even issues and places in your life that like the blind mind of John 9 have been dark and void since your beginning. Jesus, from the beginning of time, has been in the business of shaping, forming, creating…. and He is ready and able willing to create life and light where there has been only death and darkness, if you will only call on Him today! Colossians 1:16 (NLT) For through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth….Everything was created through Him and for Him.
