GIVE CHEERFULLY
2 Corinthians 8:7 (NLT) Since you excel in so many ways - in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us - I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.
When we come to God’s Word, we find God has a lot to say about money. One verse out of every six in the New Testament deals with the issue of money and possessions. One half of Jesus’ parables refer to the subject of wealth. Jesus talked more about money than He did heaven and hell, or about faith and prayer combined!
Jesus talks a lot about giving because…there is a fundamental connection between a person’s spiritual life and his attitude toward money and possessions.
If your true treasure and passion is Jesus and His Work – then you find it a joy to give as often and as generously as you’re able.
You cannot be a real disciple of Jesus without also obeying of His teachings about finances!
The truth is: True disciples are givers. Disciples invest their treasure with joy and abandon into their greatest treasure: Jesus and His Work.
2 Corinthians 8:7-8 I want you to be leaders also in the spirit of cheerful giving ...This is one way to prove that your love is real, that it goes beyond mere words.
