HE PROMISED ME TOO!
Joshua 1:3 (MSG) …Just as I promised Moses, I’m giving you every square inch of the land you set your foot on.
God had made a promise to Moses of a land of purpose. But He’d also promised that land to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph too. Now Joshua, and a new generation of Israel, had the chance to claim that same promise which had been given to the great men before them. Now, because of Jesus Christ, you and I have the privilege of claiming God’s promises too.
Romans 4:16 (NCV) People receive God’s promises by having faith. This happens so the promise can be a free gift. Then all of Abraham’s children can have that promise. It is not only for those who live under the law of Moses, but for anyone who lives with faith like that of Abraham, who is the father of those who believe.
God’s promises are not selective. They were not given to only those who have a Jewish lineage, are from a particular religious background or specific racial heritage. They aren’t given to just a few especially holy or gifted people.
His promises are the inheritance of those who have a heart of faith like Abraham.
They are given to anyone who will grasp them with hands of faith as Moses.
They are claimed by those who will walk in faith like Joshua.
What is His promise to you? It is financial abundance, health, freedom, anointing, favor, grace, peace and joy? Yes! God has given you these promises in His Word. They are there waiting for the taking if you’ll believe in faith for them!
Hebrews 10:23 (NLT) Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promises to us.
