DAY 4 – NO BRANCH BEARS FRUIT BY ITSELF
John 15:4-5
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
There is great example of what it means to receive fruit from great collaboration and teamwork. Marvel comics is very well-known and has created incredible comics such as Spiderman, Hulk, Captain America, and many more. The process of creating such great characters starts with writers, like the famous Stan Lee, who often came up with an idea that the penciler, someone like Jack Kirby (Captain America, the Hulk, etc.) or Steve Ditko(Spider-Man and Doctor Strange) would then block out in pages of dramatic sequential drawings. Then the boards would go to a letterer and inker before a colorist would add the primary colors. These would then be sent to a printer, distributed and sold at the comic book shop.
This demonstrates to us how important is to work together and specially to work hand in hand with what the Lord is doing in our lives. In today’s culture we are being communicated constantly that we are the masters of our own domain and that we can excel without the help of any outside influence in our lives. But in the contrary, as people who are seeking to do God’s will in our daily lives, we need to comprehend that anything we do or accomplish is because we have the best teammate we can have – God. The fruit that we will bear is not because we’re intelligent, good-looking, or just have great skills. The fruit will come when we recognize that our success is not through our strengths but through our weaknesses since we are strong in God when we are weak. God is the creator, the penciler, the inker, and we are just the board. In this 10 days of fasting pray to the Lord that you want to be a collaborator in his kingdom and bear the fruit that only through Him you will be able to give.
DÍA 4 - NINGUNA RAMA LLEVA FRUTAS POR SÍ MISMO
Juan 15: 4-5 Permanece en mí, como yo también permanezco en ti. Ninguna rama puede dar fruto por sí sola; debe permanecer en la vid. Tampoco puedes dar fruto si no permaneces en mí. 5 “Yo soy la vid; ustedes son las ramas. Si permaneces en mí y yo en ti, darás mucho fruto; Aparte de mí no puedes hacer nada.
Hay un gran ejemplo de lo que significa recibir frutos de una gran colaboración y trabajo en equipo. Los cómics de Marvel son muy conocidos y han creado cómics increíbles como Spiderman, Hulk, Capitán América y muchos más. El proceso de creación de personajes tan geniales comienza con escritores, como el famoso Stan Lee, a quien a menudo se le ocurrió la idea de que el dibujante, alguien como Jack Kirby (Capitán América, Hulk, etc.) o Steve Ditko (Spider-Man y Doctor Strange) luego dibujarian páginas de dramáticos dibujos secuenciales. Esto nos demuestra lo importante que es trabajar juntos y especialmente si es trabajar de mano a mano con el Señor en lo que haciendo en nuestras vidas. En la cultura actual se nos comunica constantemente que somos los dueños de nuestro propio destino y que podemos sobresalir sin la ayuda de ninguna influencia externa en nuestras vidas. Pero por el contrario, como personas que buscan hacer la voluntad de Dios en nuestra vida diaria, debemos comprender que todo lo que hacemos o logramos se debe a que tenemos al mejor compañero que podemos tener: Dios. El fruto que darás no se debe a que seas inteligente, guapo o simplemente tengas grandes habilidades. El fruto que damos viene cuando reconocemos que nuestro éxito no son nuestras fortalezas sino nuestras debilidades, ya que somos fuertes en Dios cuando somos débiles. Dios es el creador, el dibujante, el entintador, y nosotros somos solo la pizarra. En estos 10 días de ayuno pídele al Señor que quieres ser colaborador de su reino y que quieres dar el fruto que solo a través de Él podrás dar.
