Day and Night - 24 Hour Prayer

Purpose:

Day & Night Prayer is a new ministry at Grace with the sole purpose of praying. Its goal is to have at least one person praying in the large chapel at every hour of the Day & Night. This ministry began spontaneously during our a corporate prayer time, Sunday night, October 12, 2008. It is the fulfillment of a vision given to Pastor Rae many months past.

Sign up:

Please sign up in the sign up book, in galleria on Sunday mornings. Sign up times generally consist of a one hour slot. If you can, please sign up for an hour that nobody else has signed up for, however, if you wish to (or the only time you can) pray is in a time slot already taken then by all means join in. 

 Security:

During normal church operation hours, the main chapel will be open and unlocked. During hours that the church is not usually open, you will need to walk to the south doors of the main chapel (not the main entrance of the church) and knock on them loudly. The person before you will hear the knock and let you in. If there is nobody praying before you, someone will be at the church with a key to let you in.

 The facilitators of the prayer ministry keep a close eye on who prays and at what time. For example, a young woman who signs up to pray at 2 in the morning will most likely have someone else be required to stay with her ensuring her safety.

 Communication:

The best way to sign up is explained above. However, you may also join a text messaging group that will receive 2 text messages a day (if necessary) detailing any gaps in the prayer schedule. If you wish to fill a gap, simply text back one of the contacts.
